SCORPIONS Drummer, TOMMY LEE's Sister Schedule KOTTAK Dates

KOTTAK (formerly KRUNK),the band featuring singer/songwriter/guitarist Jimmy Ratchitt, (a.k.a. former KINGDOM COME and current SCORPIONS drummer James Kottak),his wife Athena (sister of MÖTLEY CRÜE's Tommy Lee) on drums, and Rev Jones (MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP) on bass, has lined up the following dates n Southern California:

Jan. 04 - Universal City, CA - B.B. Kings
Jan. 06 - Lancaster, CA - Schooners
Jan. 18 - Fullerton, CA - Fender Ave Bar & Grill (w/ BLACK SYMPHONY)
Jan. 20 - Tarzana, CA - Paladinos
Jan. 27 - Fullerton, CA - Fender Ave Bar & Grill

KOTTAK's debut CD, entitled "Therupy", was released in September 2006 via Escapi Music. According to a press release, the album boasts 12 tracks of high-energy riffage: 10 originals — including "Ripped", "High (In My Little Room)" and "Song That Won't Go Away" — written by Ratchitt/Athena/Whiston, and two covers: SCORPIONS' "Holiday" and CYNDI LAUPER's "Money Changes Everything".

Obvious comparisons will no doubt ensue over the drumming styles of Athena and her brother but one thing is for certain, Athena's her own person. KOTTAK represents her music, the band's singular vision, and, along with Jimmy/Dave/Rev, her shot at the brass ring.
